Governance
The association's business is conducted by a 24-member board of directors. The President of the Board serves a one-year term. The Board year runs from one annual business meeting to the next. The annual business meetings are held in March.
Call for Volunteers – TLA Board of Directors
As part of its annual nominations process, the TLA Board of Directors is looking for energetic and engaged TLA members in good standing, who are interested in becoming members of the TLA Board of Directors. Our objective is to staff the Board with a diverse group of lawyers with the time, commitment and expertise to ensure strong and effective direction in fulfilling the TLA’s mission.
Currently, we anticipate filling 3 board positions. The TLA Board specifically requires additional expertise in the following practice areas:
Application Process
Nominations for a 3-year term starting in May 2024, will be accepted from January 16 to February 13, 2024. If you are interested in getting involved as a director and have been practising for 3 years or more, you are invited to submit a self-nomination, in the form of a letter of application and brief biography.
