*Important message - TLA response to COVID-19*

Toronto Lawyers Association has been monitoring the COVID-19 situation and is taking the advice of public health experts.  We will not be hosting any live events in the next 30 days, to support the social distancing measures currently being implemented.

TLA is proud of the intimate and social nature of our live education programs.  As a result we will be rescheduling this for a later date.

If you have already registered, your ticket will be honoured at the later date.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates, including decisions about  future events.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the TLA.

This program is accredited for 60 minutes of Professionalism Content and 30 minutes of EDI Content.

Come and listen to our expert panelists candidly discuss and de-mystify the judicial application and appointment process. Hear how you can navigate this process for the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and Federal Court of Canada. • When in your career should you apply?
  • How does the selection process ensure appointment of a diverse range of candidates?
  • How important are references?
  • Will past indiscretions come back to bite you?
  • Can a non-litigation lawyer be appointed?

    TLA response to COVID-19

The TLA takes the health and safety of our members, friends and staff seriously. Based on current information from public health officials, TLA will proceed with upcoming education and social programs. In these circumstances, the small and intimate nature of our education programs allows us to continue with our programming.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and review information from the Government of Canada, Toronto Public Health, and the Ontario Ministry of Health.  We will communicate any changes and contingency planning promptly.
