The Court House Library provides a full range of library services to members of the Ontario Bar, the Judiciary, and articling students.

Professional, experienced staff are available to assist you with your research and use of the facilities, whether you are using print or electronic resources.

Examples of services provided include:

  • Books or information on a specific legal topic
  • Staff assistance with a legal issue
  • Copies of cases or legislation
  • Borrowing items from another library
  • Noting-up cases
  • Updating legislation
  • Information on a specific research request

All research is provided free-of-charge to members of TLA (not including fees for photocopy and fax service), with a research fee charged to non-member lawyers. For a list of Library Service Charges please click here.

Members may borrow books for overnight loans.

Electronic research sources

The TLA Library provides free, hands-on, access to Quicklaw, Canadian Encyclopedic Digest, DivorceMate and the Internet to members of the Ontario Bar, and Articling Students. Experienced staff is always available to assist you or provide training as required.
