There are three main categories of members in the Association: Lawyers, New Calls and Articling Students. Detailed explanations are below:
For persons practising law who are members of the Law Society of Upper Canada and who wish to have full membership privileges and benefits. Lawyer members pay annual dues as assessed by the Board of Trustees. Membership fees for 2016 are set at $100 plus HST.
Students may join the TLA for free but must have commenced an articling placement with an employer before registering.
For lawyers called to the bar in the current calendar year (2016 calls).
Any of the three membership categories may be resident or non-resident. A resident member is one who either has his/her principal place of residence in the Toronto region or who has his/her principal place of practice or business in the Toronto region.

In addition, we welcome interest by non-members who wish to keep in touch with TLA on an ongoing basis.
